John Gilliam and wife Mary Clanton from Albemarle Parish, Sussex Co VA, went to NC around 1775 before moving to TN. Would anyone know what county in NC they lived? They had a son LEMUEL GILLIAM, b. 1791 in NC. He married a SARA who was b. in NC in 1796. Her maiden name is possibly Dawson. They would have married ca. 1812/1813.
