Good morning, I have been cleaning out some old things of my Dad's. I came across a book called "History and Genealogy of the NANCES" It is by D. Nance. It says on the title page: "But more particularly of the Descendants of John and Jane Nance, of Mecklenburg County, Virginia." Mr. Nance apparently was from Marshville, NC and wrote the preface on May 1, 1930. He wrote that he had been gathering data about the Nance family since 1900. It has an index and I will be glad to do lookups for anyone interested. Please send first and last names, and please be patient as I will be working these in between grocery shopping, laundry and dog washing. LOL By the way, the copy of the book I have belonged at some time to Grace and Louise McCall, 3017 Clover Road, Charlotte, NC. They were, according to their notes, descended from William Airley Morris and Patsy Nance. Looking forward to hearing from some Nance descendants. Sheila Quinn
