Hi, A lurker on this list for quite awhile. Have been reading with interest this most recent information. All indications are that my husband's GM had two children out of wedlock. Census records indicate that they were raised by GP's. A recent connection with third cousins of my husband noted that they remembered the two children and that "Jane" had the children however, she was 'ran off' by her parents. Jane's Father was a Methodist minister in Gastonia. The time frame would be circa 1900- 1910 at the latest. Where would i go to find out if by some chance bonds were posted for both of these children? The surname is ARROWOOD Mother of children "Mary Jane" aka Jane Father known only as "Davis", primarily for my husband's Father. Not sure if this is a given name or surname. Raised by WEZLIA/WESLEY ARROWOOD and ISABEL (CORRELL or a variation of) ARROWOOD of Gastonia NC. "Jane" supposedly married. Unknown where, to whom or when and had a daughter. Her name was LOLA.
