The name Henry Blurton was also familiar to me in Johnston County as I have worked on locating the Green's Path, an ancient Indian trail that runs through here. He received a NC State grant of 200 acres in 1779 near Wilson's Mills. He soon sold the property. If this works out let me know and I will tell you more. Plenty of early Pierces/Pearces also here.
