I think this is my last question about the Bastardy bonds... Or maybe it is just an observation. From the transcribed documents that went by, I saw that the amount of the bond was $200. First of all, I believe $200 was a whole lot of money in the 1800's. Did they pay the full $200, or was it secured by a small down payment like jail bonds are, or was it secured like a mortgage or what? Thank you all for answering the questions for me. :) deb
