They were married in Cumberland County NC in 1847 and had 6 children: Wm Shepard, Augusta Steele, Catherine, Margaret Anna, Frank and John Jr. I am trying to gather some information to take to a family reunion in Oct. If anyone has any information on his parents and grand parents, I would really appreciate some help. I thought I knew who his parents were but conflicting information has turned up over the last few months and I am not so sure anymore. I know that he is a descendant of the Quaker Maultsbys from PA William and Mary, but I can't seem to find out what line he is from.
