Greetings, Here is the Obit I needed help on. Since it is a Military Base, wonder if there might be any records I could get? Monday, February 10, 1964 HARRY ADDISON Harry Addison, 71, of 3200 Southeast Blvd. died Sunday. He was born Feb. 11, 1892, in Henry County, Indiana. He came to Wichita from Caney, Kan. in 1944. He was veteran of World War I and was formerly with the highway maintenance department. Survivors Include his widow, Josephine; two sons, Ray, Tarrawa Terrace, N.C., and Joe W., Los Angeles, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Alice Olson, Burlington, Kan.; his mother, Mrs. Clara Addison, Independence, Kan.; three brothers, Gilbert, 135 S. Chautauqua; Fred, Woodward, Okla., and Walter, Independence; and two sisters, Mrs. Martha Hodges, Fresno, Calif., and Mrs. Marjorie Hopkins, Winfleld, Kan. Services and burial will be Tuesday in Caney, Kan. DeVorss-Gard Mortuary has charge. Thanks, Lora
Lora, you can likely obtain information from the government on the Marine who was stationed in the area. Be forewarned however - it can take a long time to receive these records and they are only available to immediate relatives. If your Marine is not deceased, you will need permission of the Marine to obtain his/her records. For example, I was able to obtain my father's records. But when I requested my uncle's records, I was denied. This web site can tell you more about obtaining these records. http://www.nara.gov/regional/mpr.html Carla ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, August 06, 2001 9:20 AM Subject: Re: [NCROOTS] Need help with a County/ Reply > Greetings, > > Here is the Obit I needed help on.
