I will be going to Raleigh to the State Archives sometime in the next few days and I need help from someone who has been there. As I will only have a very short time I want to make the most of my time, and thought someone on the list that has been there could help me. I am trying to get information about a Delaney Hall that was killed in Rev. War and his brother Martin Hall who received a land grant on the death of his brother Delaney. I have Delaney Hall in Pierce's showing he was killed on Mar. 13, 1778. I also have where Martin Hall got the grant. There is a number after (LP 187) which I assume is Legislative Papers. Are the people helpful at the Archives? Could someone tell me where I should go to get this information? Where would I go to look up the land grant? I will be leaving on Tuesday morning early so would appreciate any information you can give me within the next couple of days as I will have to go off the list until the middle of September.
