I am Interested in how to get land records of PeeDee NWR sINCE alot of land had to be bought from land owners and records kept of it. My gggrandfather W. Ephraim Hunter b.1777, lived in that area and interested in any land records., His daughter Anne P. Hunter Ingram(Mrs. E.D. Ingram) inherited the land. It was SW peedee River on Jones Creek. Also looking at Hunters who migrated to AL. between 1800-1860 from Anson Co. and surrounding areas. Ephraim Hunters brother Elisha moved to AL and bought seris of land some with land patent warrants, I think. The BLM records of Elisha and Elijah Hunters had some land claims around Greene Co. and surrounding area. Elisha died in early 1836(since another Elisha Hunter died in late 1836 in Greene Co.,GA).
