Subject: Hoggett, Hoggat, Hocket, etc Please forgive the multiple queries. I am searching for the parents of my gg grandfather Phillip Hoggett (various spellings). He was b in IN ca 1822/23. He died inWright CO. MO ca 1905. He had a brother named Elisha Hoggett also born in IN ca 1824/25. I think they are the sons of Elisha HOGGETT b. 1801 Springfield, Guilford, NC and Elenor Duffied (also various spellings) b.IN. The elder Elisha was born to Mary and Phillip Hoggett, Quakers in Guilford, NC. Elisha OR Elenor may have been Native American as Phillip was reported to be half or more. Their marriage took place in Blue River, Washigton, IN 02 May, 1823. The 1830 and 40 census names an Elisha Hoggett in IN with 2 males in the family who would fit the ages of Phillip and Elisha JR. However by 1850 Phillip and Elisha are married and living in IL. I need something that lists Phillip as the son of Elisha Sr and Elenor. I can find no listed children of Elisha and Elenor. Or if his parents turn out to be someone else, I would welcome that information also. Does anyone have the minutes for the mm's in Blue River, Washington CO. IN or can tell me where I can find them? They might be listed there with their children. Thanks, Carolyn

Eldon, The book that I found was "Revolutionary War Bounty Land Grants, awarded by state governments" by Lloyd DeWitt Bockstruck, 1996, Genealogical Publishing Co., Inc. Baltimore, Maryland. Try to get this book through your local library, even through interlibrary loan, or check with FHL to see if the have the book on microfilm? I was looking for Hugh Parks of NC who fought in the War and was granted land in TN. Moses Parks was born in NC and was living at Fayette Co TN later, and we are trying to make the connections back to Moses' ancestor in NC. We are still working on this.
