    1. Re: [NCROOTS] WILLIAMS, BRIDGES, HUCKABY, FIKE, ROE
    2. You might try looking under Rowe in addition to the Roe. I had a Rowe surname very early on (1500s) whose daughter migrated to VA as the wife of Christopher Lewis...she might have had brothers who came as well. 2. Yes, thank you. I have a copy of the will that was posted on a Martin website. I printed it out. Do you have any idea who Rev Smith's forebears might be ? 1. [NCROOTS] We are NOT having a roll call
    2. Elizabeth Harris
    3. Folks, generally it's the perogative of the list manager to ask for a roll call. In my opinion, NCROOTS is just too big a list for this. Thank you Cindy, Louise, Ruth, and everyone else who responded quickly to this issue while I wasn't reading the list mail today. You are always welcome to post queries about NC families that you are researching. But please, USE A GOOD SUBJECT LINE. Give a surname, a county if you know it, an approximate date, something to let the readers know who you're looking for. Add some details in the body of the message so that it will have some value to future researchers when it's archived. 2. Cindy
    3. Dear list, This is my personal thoughts on Roll Calls so feel free to delete here. I find Roll Calls to be most annoying because they tell me nothing. Many of us have access to NC material but we need more than a surname. Why not take the time to add a first name and a date, you would have a better chance of getting a response. It doesn't have to lengthy, for example: John THACKER b. 1800 Rockingham co James SHROPSHIRE m. ca 1829 Rockingham co If any disagree with me email me privately rather than tie the list up. jimgoad@hpe.infi.net Cindy in NC
