My Peter Ryan Simpson married Elizabeth Cunningham, daughter of Joseph Cunningham and Peter R. Simpson's sister, Elizabeth Simpson married Joseph Cunningham, the brother of Peter's wife. They left Rockingham County ca. 1806 or so and moved to middle Tennessee.
