Hello, It appears that there may have been a few DONNEL families in NC during the timeframe 1760-1830. I am searching for the parents of a John Mabry DONNEL who was born around 1801. We believe that he was born in Tennessee, but we also know that his family came there from the East, NC being a strong possibility. Does anyone know anything about the North Carolina DONNELs? How about the origin of the DONNEL surname? My wife is a DONNEL from the John Mabry DONNEL line.
