Hi Tim and others, I have been working on this family [on and off] for almost three years. There is no proof my Martin Family is related to Alexander Martin... but my William A. Martin, b. Jan 1830, did have a son, William A. Martin, b. abt. 1862. I say "about" because I don't have the census report in front of me. This William A. Martin was the oldest of 10 children by John and Joannah (Vernon) MARTIN. A brother [to William] and three sisters married the children of Daniel SMITH of Rockingham County.
