Would anyone have a cemetery listing for the above couple? GEO.BARKER was pretty common but DENISA was not. My GEORGE BARKER apparently died between 1844 & 1850. DENISA BARKER is listed in the 1850 Rockingham Census-Western District alone, age 33 with sons HENRY T.(age 15) & JOHN A (age 6). Both sons left the area (JOHN A moved to IN between 1868-1873 & to KY in 1883). DENISA may have remained behind. Would also love to hear from any BARKERS or SHARPS with ROCKINGHAM roots. My grandpa always said his dad JOHN ALLEN BARKER was "bound out" to work with black slaves on a plantation after his dad GEO.BARKER died, but he never knew his father. I have a George Valentine Sharp m. Katherine Keck and descendants probably Rockingham Co., NC. George appears about 1806.
