Jan, You asked from where our ancestors came to Rockingham Co. My Baker-Colquitts moved just from the next county, but it was in VA.---Halifax. That is why I belong to the VA.-N.C. Piedmont Genealogy Society that covers 7 counties in that region; they all did move around in the area. Now if only I could discover where they were before Halifax!!
