He was married there in 1837 to Sarah Ledbetter and when she died he later married Eliza Shields in Guilford County. We THINK his father's name was John Timothy White. He may have gone by John, or Timothy White. They were Quakers early on. Please respond with any information you may have about Whites who were Quakers in the Stokes/Rockingham,etc. area.
