They had Emma Alice, Walter Eugene, John Luther, Robert Moten, a baby that died shortly after birth about 1897 which was about the time Sarah died also. Hope you recognize some of the names. 3. Mary Lou, Thank you for that information. I have wondered about the two Lemons, Lemonds families every since I bought the last copy of the Rockingham County Historical Society book. I got lucky there because the Camera Shop in Reidsville had the last copy available and I was there on vacation and bought it. Do know where I can get a copy of that map and how much it costs. My Sallie Lemons was Sarah Ann Lemons, daughter of Esther Lemons and married James Banister Talley. She was born in 1836 in Virginia and was living with great-grandpa Harvey and his wife "Jennie" in 1910 according to the 1910 Rockingham County Census. Boy, did the census taker screw up there. If I had not recognized the names of the family members I would have just gone on by it. They spelled great-grandpa Harvey's name, Harp W. Bdurlond. I will never figure out how they got that out of Harvey Weldon Borland. Anyway, my Sallie died on Oct 30, 1912 and is buried at the Old Talley Family Cemetery out on Camp Dan Valley Road and Iron Works Road. There might be a relationship between the two Lemons families since they used some of the same given names for their children. 3. Jamie: When I sent you my post I thought you were going to Raleigh. Sorry. If you run across a Jerimiah Mize or Alexander Alderdice, keep me in mind. I know they were in Rockingham Co. between 1808 and 1820. 3. Hi Drew, You mentioned the other day you were researching the Blagg family in Rockingham, and I happened to see a Blagg deed today, so abstracted it for you... Rockingham Co., NC Deed Book E, p. 283 10 August 1798 - William (his "W" mark)BLAGG sold to Isaac Perriman, both of Rockingham Co., for £52 NC - 52 acres (previously granted Blagg by Asa Brasher for 100 acres) on north side of Jacobs Creek, adjoining Jacob Perriman. Witness: Joseph Perriman, John Thomas

    1. [NCROCKINGHAM] MOORE DESCENDANTS
    2. For any who are interested in MOORE descendants from MD. & Rockingham County, NC: The Will of John Moore in the Will Book in Wentworth has missing pages, but there is a complete & officially documented copy in the book by Guy Sone. The book isn't available but you can order the film from FHL #874732, item 4. "Genealogy of MILLER-HARMON-POWELL-MOORE and Allied Families." It names the 10 children of JOHN MOORE-MARY HENRY & much more. There is a total of 19 pages of the Moore family. One error I found is my great grandfather JOHN HARVEY MOORE born 1820, NC moved to Cole CO. MO with parents John Jr., Betsey (Jane ) Lemmonds, Guy Sone has him as JAMES NOT JOHN. He went by HARVEY most of his life & signed as J. H. his father called him Harvey in his will.
