I have been researching Allen Britt, born about 1819. His father was Alexander C. Britt, born about 1753 in Robeson. I went on-line to see what what known about Alexander's marriage. There are several files about Alexander and his wife, Susannah Harper, born about 1760 or 1790. The information is quite confusing about when their children were born. Susannah had to have been on tough lady. According to the information on-line, if she were born in 1760, she would have been 50 years old when Jane was born in 1810; 59 when Allen was born; 60 when Flora was born; 72 when Appie Jane was born; 76 when Elizabeth was born and then we come to Alexander, Jr. who if the information is correct, Susannah would have been 82!!! When I run her birth date as being 1790, she still would have been quite old in my opinion to have given birth to Alexander, Jr. She would have been 52!!! Has anyone been researching this family and have any other informaiton about this family? My main interest is the marriage of Allen Britt, born about 1819 to Winifred 'Winnie' Willoughby.
