I had a number of Indian relatives who fought in the Civil War, but even more interesting, a number of my relatives were officers in the Revolutionary War. They were in originally Montauks at Long Island, run out by settlers, then joined the Narragansetts in NJ, then run out by settlers, then adopted by the Mohawk nations.
