William Boyd Walters William Boyd Walters, 84, of Winston-Salem, passed away Monday, Nov. 6, 2006, at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born Dec. 11, 1921, in Lumberton to the late Joseph Ellie Walters and Lou Fisher Walters. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Julian Burke Walters, and a sister, Betty Lou Walters. Mr. Walters served in the U.S. Army in World War II and retired from Western Electric as a technical illustrator. He had three genealogical books published. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Jane Walters; children, Gregory C. (Marcia) Walters of Clemmons and Amanda (Don) Walters Crews of Greenbelt, Md. A memorial service will be held at 2:30pm, Thursday, Nov. 9, in the Calhoun Room at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 520 Summit St. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Winston-Salem Rescue Squad, 2955.
