McKinnon I can't find out what his 2 children's names are. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Male, black, 37, first marriage, married for 16 years, born in NC (as were his parents), farmer, general farm, on his own account, renting. -------------, Mag, Wife, female, black, 36, first marriage, married for 16 years, had borne 8 children, 8 still living, NC NC NC. ------------, Mary L., Dau, 15. -----------, Neil A., son, 13 ------------, Atlanta, dau, 11 ----------, Bettie, dau, 8 ----------, Sarah, dau, 6 -----------, Lizzie, dau, 4 ------------, Charles W., son, 2 ------------, Tinnie (?) M., dau, 7/12 All born in NC. Notes: I have found that in most censuses almost everyone says they were born in NC and so were their parents. This is not, however, always accurate--though it usually is. On the same page there is a Jim McKinnon with wife and family that look the right age to be a brother to Charles.
