I am considering making a trip from Alabama to NC to research my Thomas and Edmund Brown ancestors. They were living in Bladen Co. at least from about 1760 to c1880, before moving to near border of Marlboro Co., SC and Richmond Co., NC. The area in Bladen where they lived was down near the SC line, now Robeson Co. I'm looking for advice on the trip. Should I just add directly to the NC Archives in Raleigh or would it be worth visiting the Bladen & Robeson courthouses and libraries? Any advice appreciated. John **************** John K.
