Dear Jenni, Thank you for your notice! I am a Robeson County, North Carolina native. My grandmother was born in Robeson County and all of her ancestors--as far as my family and I have been able to determine--were of Scottish origin. I have a lot background on most all of these families, some of which you can find on my website, http://www.capefearclans.com. The subject of my website is the family and descendants of John McPherson of the 1739 Argyll Colony of the Cape Fear area. I have researched John McPherson and his descendants quite well, and there was a tremendous amount of information on him to be found (and perhaps much more), personally and legally. Sadly, the most telling thing about him is that he left no record of his wife's name.... I am not certain what I could offer but I would love to speak with you sometime; perhaps I can offer some interest to any program being planned on your side of the pond. If you'd like to speak with me, I am available most any evening after 7pm to 10pm at 919-836-5328 (not a cell phone, but a land line). Sincerely, Steve Edgerton Jenni Butterworth wrote: >Hello!
