Murphy Sydney Willis, especially confirmed birthdates and location in NC where the first four children were born. John S. Murphy was born about 1810 in Greensboro, Guilford County, North Carolina. He appeared on the census on 4 OCT 1860 in Burnt Corn, Monroe County, Alabama, p933. He was married to Sydney Willis about 1839 in North Carolina. Sydney Willis was born about 1817 in Fayetteville, Cumberland County, North Carolina. They had the following children: 1) Margaret Murphy was born about 1842 in North Carolina. 2) Emaline Murphy (born in AUG 1845) in NC. 3) Daniel Murphy was born about 1846 in North Carolina. 4) Abagail Murphy was born in JUN 1848 in NC/AL. 5) Malcomb Murphy was born about 1850 in MS/AL. 6) Joseph W.
