I found a John W. Sellers in the 1850 Census for Robeson County. He was listed with Francis L. Haynes and family. John W. Sellers was 18 and a laborer. It shows he was born in Columbia County. They were living in the Southern Division of Robeson County and were enumerated on the 6th day of September 1850. There were more than one Walters family and more than one Sealy/Sealey family listed on the same page, if that helps. The dwelling and family number is 622. I hope this helps.
