    3. Hi Marcia and Tom, I have seen the death certificate of a W.B. Sutton, which stated that the family was from Sampson Co NC. Best wishes, Sam -----Original Message----- From: ncrobeso-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:ncrobeso-bounces@rootsweb.com]On Behalf Of Marcia Lee Sent: Thursday, July 05, 2007 9:34 AM To: NCROBESO-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [NCROBESO] Suttons of Robeson Co., NC Hi Tom, We are related this way : John Lee b. 8 April 1802 in Robeson or Bladen Co., NC married Susan Sutton b. 1805? on 28 March 1826 in Robeson Co., Burwell Lee was a bondsman & Neil Buie Jr. a witness. I don't know anything about Susan's family except that a researcher from her daughter Annie Jane's family said their family story was that Susan's father was Native American or part Native American & a picture I have of her daughter does appear that the girl was possibly of some Native American blood. John & Susan had three children, two born in Robeson Co., Annie Jane b. 1830 & Jesse b. 1827, the youngest Benjamin was born in Stewart Co., GA 1834. Susan died in July 1834 in Stewart Co., GA. John remarried there in Dec. 1834 to Malissa Ann Paulk. There was also a William Lee who lived in Robeson Co. about the same time as John & he married a Nancy Sutton. He moved to Stewart Co., GA also. We think they (the Lee men) were related but don't know how. We also don't know if Su! san & Nancy Sutton were related. Since Nancy or Nan is a nickname for Ann we think the ladies were related someway. Any help on the Sutton's will be greatly appreciated. 3. Sam, do you remember when the W B Sutton who's death Certificate that you saw died? The William B. Sutton that we are refering to was the son of John Caleb Sutton and He was born 1837 there in Robeson and died in 1914 there in Robeson. In fact He is burried there in Lumberton and I have a picture of His grave. ----- Original Message ----- From: "sam.west" <sam.west@ncmail.net> To: <ncrobeso@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, July 05, 2007 8:37 AM Subject: Re: [NCROBESO] Suttons of Robeson Co., NC > Hi Marcia and Tom, > > I have seen the death certificate of a W.B.
