Tom, I am not Marcia, but I do have a SUTTON dilemma I have researched off and on for years. Asa SUTTON witnessed a deed from Jacob SELLERS to "WEST's children", Duplin Co., NC 1789. I am just wondering if by chance you have any info on Asa SUTTON. I have not been able to find him on Duplin deeds/patents/marriages/court (other than the above), church, etc. It seems Asa one day appeared in court never again to have been heard from. Any clues?
