I second the motion on the Lowery family--knowing the whole story is necessary before forming an opinion. In the words of a friend of mine who also thought the Lowerys were outlaws, "well, now that I have read the book, looks like Reuben King needed a good killing." I had given my friend a copy of 'To Die Game' by William McKee Evans. I recommend it to anyone with an interest in Robeson County.
