Away Down Home is an entertaining history of Robeson County from the first settlers through the Civil War. It mentions some early families, but is not a good source for genealogy other than where some familles located. Proceeds go to the preservation of the 150+ year old Humphrey-Williams-Smith Plantation outside of Lumberton, NC. Joanne
