Hello Sam: Do you have any information on the Black Swamp Baptist church ? Does Roberson co. have a Bastardy Bond list? My grandfather (Zebulon Vance Carter) born March 27 1879. The 1900 cenus list him as being the son of Richard Robert Carter. We were always told Richard was his grandfather who had raised him. I have a copy of richards will and it DOES not list Zeb as a son. Gary Locklear found a paper were one of richards girls served 6 mos. for having a baby out of web lock. My question is would it be possible to find out who Zebs mother was and what would it cost me. Please let me know the app. cost before you do any research. I am retaired and on disabelty.
