Daniel CURRIE m. Anna RAY 1824 in Robeson Co. NC Their daughter, Flora Emaline CURRIE m. Johnson J. SMITH 25 Nov 1868 in Robeson Co. NC. Flora CURRIE's sister, Catherine CURRIE m. Malcolm McNeill 22 Oct. 1872-this family and their children relocated to Summerville, TX in 1882. Johnson J. SMITH and Flora CURRIE had the following children in Red Springs, NC: Clyde Benton b. 1874, Arlin, Olga and Eolyn. This family relocated to Pine Bluff Arkansas after 1880. In a 1919 letter written by my great-grandmother to her husband, Clyde Smith, she mentions staying with the following relatives of his in Robeson Co.-Katie, Fred, and John Brown and May Stuart. Clyde Smith's sister, Eolyn, had married Morris Brown in Jefferson County, Arkansas, perhaps these are his people. Kathryn Sterling Herrmann
