Sometimes they did when the one born earlier had died young, I have seen this more in New england than in the south, seems like southerners were more of a superstitious lot and didn't want to call down bad luck on the second child. The fact that the two Henry are 22 years apart makes it seem unlikely that they are children of the same parents. The one born 1850 might be a grandson. Where were the two Henrys in 1860?
