Hello Doris, This is off the subject of Raft Swamp but I noticed you mentioned your Loe ancestor as believed to be Daniel Loe and Pharaba Pittman. My ancestor in Robeson Co. was Edmond Spivey, Sr. died 1798 and I believe Daniel Loe and Joel Pittman witnessed his will. Do you know if these two men were connected to Edmond Spivey, Sr. in any way and if Joel Pittman was the father of Phataba? It is possible they were just neighbors since Edmond lived on Old Field also. Information is scarce about this Spivey and any thoughts or hints would be appreciated. Thanks. Nula Tingleff
