I am looking for information on the Robeson Co. Williamson's. My great grandfather was Thomas James Williamson born in 1825 (Sampson Co. I think) He was living in Robeson Co. in 1850 working as a overseer on a plantation. His first wife was Mary Catharine Morrison, married in 1847. He has a brother named William Williamson, born in Robeson Co. 1820 according to his Mexican War records. William married Effy Morrison, sister of Catharine. The children and Effy are buried in Robeson Co. NC. William died in Moble Ala. Thomas mover to Henry Co. Ala. app. 1855-1860. His first wife died and he remarried to Sarah Eva Hodder. I believe that the mother of Thomas and William was Mary ? from Duplin Co. NC. On the 1880 Henry Co. Ala. census Thomas James Williamson said that he father was from Scotland.
