Land Grant #1866 issued to Thomas Jackson of Bladen Co, NC for 100 acres on the Ten Mile Swamp, Dec 22, 1768 Thomas Jackson war service pay roll for Rev War included Ferriage #160. Thomas Jackson for services against the Chicamaga Indians Land Grant #3231 for English Thomas Jackson, Bladen Co, NC for 100 acres on the N side of Drowning Creek beginning at a red oak in said Jacksons old line, Nov 12, 1779 June 12, 1778 English Thomas Jackson enters 100 acres, border south of Thomas Ivey, runs down to Meadow Branch, and the land Richard Hammons sold to Issac Hollingsworth Dec 13, 1779 Thomas Jackson enters 150 acres of land on West side of Raft Swamp where the Wolf pen is on John Kersy's old path Feb 18, 1780, James Blunt, Planter, sold to Thomas Jackson, both of Balden Co, NC 150 acres located on Saddletree Swamp List of Taxables for Bladen Co, NC 1788, Capt Regan's Dist, page 22 list Thomas Jackson 19 Nov 1787 at Kinston, NC grant to Thomas Jackson on the North side of the Ten Mile Swamp to Thomas Jackson, Robeson Co, NC court records Note: 26 Nov 1789 at Fayetteville, NC land grant to JOHN JACKSON located west of Saddletree Swamp in Robeson Co. (what relation to Thomas?) The first census in 1790 list Thomas Jackson, Sr in Robeson Co, NC with 3 free white males of 16 years and upward, and 2 whtie females. Also listed in the 1800, 1810 and 1820 census. Also have Reuben Jackson born abt 1768 in NC listed in the 1800 census. James Jackson born abt 1770 in NC listed in the 1800 census. Jethro Jackson born abt 1772 NC listed in the 1800 census. These also had property in the area with Thomas need connection to Thomas. Thomas Jackson, Jr born abt 1765 in NC married Asenith Hammonds in NC. She was a daughter of John Hammond and Christian? John left a will which included his grandson, CORNELIUS, son of Thomas and Asenith property. Corenlius joined the military in 1817 in Fayetteville, NC and was paroled near Pensacola, Fl in 1822. First find after that was Monroe Co, Al in 1830. I have Hammond ties documented and from Cornelius down and then my brick wall. Have copies of bible records of Jessie Jackson & Emily Elwell and James & Mary Jackson. If they tie in don't know how. Will send copies. Appreciate any help. Thanks Jeanette

Hi Jeanette, Thomas and John Jackson were brothers, according to the Bladen County Tax List of 1772 (Bladen County, North Carolina Tax Lists, 1768 through 1774, Volume I, William L. Byrd III).
