I'm going to NC. Monday. Can some one tell me the best place to do some research on someone born in around St Pauls? I saw where one of my gggrandfathers was a member of the Raft Swamp church. Do you think i can find a death certificate or something of this nature. Does NC. allow you to get birth certificates? Help. Last time i went to the court house the woman in there was less than helpful.

Remember birth certificates only began in 1913, and 1913 -1918 (I believe) are in the Archives, Death certificates also began in 1913. If you are talking Raft Swamp Baptist Ch you might want to check the cemetery there or tell me your gggrandfathers name and I'll see if I have anything for you.
