Peggy, Hooray! The name Annis (wife of Edward Jr.) (perhaps he had by then taken Edward Sr. since his father had died and he had a son named Edward also) Gets confusing., But Annis is the first name I had for Edward' wife.I have a notebook full of those deed indices. My husband and I spent an entire day locked in the old Register of Deeds office in 1994. I have to get hold of that notebook. This Edward first appeared in 1790 which coincides exactly with what Mrs.Beulah Dickinson(now deceased) told me as to why they came to SC. Thanks much. Sylvia
