    1. [NCROBESO-L] Re: NCROBESO-D Digest V00 #68
    2. I had in my notes: The information on these pages is from a little book edited by A. R. Newsome in 1934 called "Records of Emigrants from England and Scotland to North Carolina 1774-1775" and a list of names including Archibald - 1716, and Archibald - 1758. Perhaps that helps.

    2. L.R. Lawson
    3. I would like to ask if anyone on this mail list has a ships passenger list from Edinburg, Scot to Robeson Co. in the mid 1700s. It would help if someone knows the website of such a passenger list. I am looking for Archibald McMillan and his brother John McMillan who came to Robeson Co. around 1760. They were married to sisters, Archibald to Margaret Murphy and John to Catherine Murphy. Margie McMillan Lawson ===========================

    3. Hello Sam: Do you have any information on the Black Swamp Baptist church ? Does Roberson co. have a Bastardy Bond list? My grandfather (Zebulon Vance Carter) born March 27 1879. The 1900 cenus list him as being the son of Richard Robert Carter. We were always told Richard was his grandfather who had raised him. I have a copy of richards will and it DOES not list Zeb as a son. Gary Locklear found a paper were one of richards girls served 6 mos. for having a baby out of web lock. My question is would it be possible to find out who Zebs mother was and what would it cost me. Please let me know the app. cost before you do any research. I am retaired and on disabelty. I have been working on this for 8 years and would just like to know more. Thank you, Felton Carter

    3. Hi Lynn, Sounds like you also sent your reply to the list and attachments are not allowed on any of the lists. Whatever you sent to the list would have been returned to you because of the attachment. If you hit "Reply" and didn't ensure that Debra Dew was listed as an addressee, you may have inadvertently sent your reply solely to the list. If you've still got a copy of the message, check to see who it was addressed to. Hope this helps. 3. Linda, I am trying to locate Susan Council who was married to Nevin McBride/McBryde and moved to Bibb County GA about 1823-26. They were members of the First Presbyterian Church in Macon. Nevin was the brother of my ancestor, Mary McBride/McBryde McAllum/McCallum (Angus). Since I cannot locate a father for Mary or Angus, I keep hoping to find info about Susan. Mary named one of her daughters Susan Council McAllum. There are still Councils in Robeson, but I have not contacted them yet. Some of them attend St Paul's Presbyterian church. I live in GA. I hope others reply to this list about Councils. Betty "LGlover (by way of Victoria )" wrote: > Would like to know if anyone on the list is researching the surname Council > from Robeson County? 2. Blake & Bess Tyner
    3. Looking for information on Hugh McLean. He was married to a niece of Kenneth Campbell, according to a 1818 letter written by his son-in-law, Hugh McKay. Hugh McKay was married ca. 1806 to Christian McLean and they lived at Rocky Ford, North Carolina, just west of present day Maxton. They were parents of 13 children. Any help you can provide is welcome.

    1. [NCROBESO-L] 1840 & 1850 Census Look-up Please
    2. Debra Ann Yamrus Dew
    3. Hi, I was wondering if anyone would have a cenus report that would'nt mind looking up a family for me. I'm trying to find out who my g.g.g.grandmother's (Ellen Jane YATES) grandfather was that raised her. Her parent's died in Mississippi in 1841, she was 3 years old and sent to live with her grandfather Johnsie FLOYD, grandmother unknown. I've seen several Johnson FLOYD's but have no idea if this would be correct for Johnsie and if so the right one. So I figure the year before and the year after her parent's death might help to narrow the search down. I have know idea when they started showing all the names in the household, that would have been great, but at least a chance of person's and age just might do it. Thanks for all your help, Debby [email protected]
