He could read German and translated Richland Lutheran early records. He is buried at Melanchton Lutheran Cem. near Liberty, NC. It is more of a local group of papers, but I copied the Brown, the May, and the Humble families off the microfilm at the NC Archives in Raleigh. I have zerox copy of the SMITH family.
