    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: gtucker4623 Surnames: Tucker/Merrifield Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.northcarolina.counties.randolph/3541/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Seeking any information regarding two different lines of Tucker families. These two lines have proved to be related thru genetic DNA testing conducted upon myself thru FTDNA (Tucker Group). George Tucker- b.abt 1750 prob Montgomery, Co, Maryland d.1802/1809 Henry Co, KY. Rev. War Veteran, Virginia replacement to Fort Pitt. discharged Ft. Pitt 1776. Married: Mary Lee Merrifield b.abt 1758 Winchester, Frederick Co, VA, d.1830 Henry Co, KY. Eight(8) children: J. Boothe,Alexander, Clark, Lydia, George II, Greenup, Delilah, Hiram. I descend from Greenup. George and Family appear in census records Nelson Co, Kentucky and later in Henry and Oldham Co, Kentucky. The following Tucker line associated with it's earliest known ancestor residing in Anson/Randolph County,North Carolina: William Tucker b.c1751 Randolph/Anson Co,NC d.c1811 Randolph Co, NC. Rev. war Veteran. Marriage and Wife unknown. Jesse Tucker b. 1785 Randolph Co, NC d. 1863 Lawerence Co, Tenn. Marriage and Wife unknown. Elza W. Tucker b. 1832 d. c1879 Montgomery Co, Arkansas. Believe jesse and Elza are sons of William. Were George and William first cousins? possibly, no proven records of male siblings to George. George's father I believe, was Richard Tucker b. abt 1720 poss. Maryland (no proven male siblings) death unknown, wife believed to be Elizabeth, maiden name unknown. Proven children of Richard and Elizabeth are : George and Phoebe Tucker. Phoebe married Richard Merrifield brother to Mary Lee Merrifield. The link that ties these 2 Tucker families could be that George and William were first cousins, or it may come before these two, possibly a brother to Richard that migrated into N.C. or even someone befor Richard. My goal is to try and fit the two lines together. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Reply to gtucker46@hotmail.com. Thank You, G.A. Tucker Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. If you would like to reply to them, please click on the Message Board URL link above and respond on the board.

    3. Here is all I have on the TUCKER family of Randolph County, NC: William Holland TUCKER b. 1871 d. 1954 married 1 Mar 1896 Randolph Co, NC Susan I. BOLING b. 1870 Randolph Co, NC, d. 1942 Randolph Co, NC [Marriage source: Ancestry.com North Carolina Marriage Collection 1741-2000, Book 5, #131] child: Claude TUCKER b. 10 Aug 1906, d. Mar 1981 Asheboro, Randolph Co, NC Child: Rachel TUCKER d. 3 Dec 2005 Seagrove, Randolph Co, NC. Married ___MILLS. Rachel's burial was in the Tucker Cemetery on the former property of Benjamin Boling who was born 1754. Notes: Susan I. Boling was the d/o Wm. Henry Harrison Boling and Amanda Iona Trogdon who married in Randolph Co, NC. I found 3 "William Tucker"s on the Social Sec. Death Index, but none were the correct one. I did find his son Claude Tucker on that record. I don't have anything on the other Tucker line you mentioned. ----- Original Message ----- Seeking any information regarding two different lines of Tucker families.
