Gary, Randolph Co kept good records on those who had children without being married. I can't remember, right now, what that was called, but the Randolph Co. Journals for all of these years has most of those listed. You should contact the Asheboro Library, Genealogy area, and see if someone can find that for you. Flora was never married and I've been searching for my great grandfathers natural father but with no luck. Things were kept pretty hush-hush back then concerning children born out of wedlock.
