I believe he married my Ggrandmother's baby sister Decia L Ward, of William S Ward and Sally Moon. They had a total of 9 children, 8 of whom lived to adulthood. Addison and Decia were still alive in 1930 in Randolph County. Their children were Hattie, Maud L, Bessie V, Chester R, Spurgeon E, Alma T, Ornice, and Dwight.Hattie is believed to have married John B Humble. Any info on this family would be appreciated. We have been looking for Decia for many years and just found her. In 1880, Addison and Decia live in Randolph with their first child Hattie and "Louvina Hix", called "mother", although she is Decie's stepmother and of no relation to Addison that I know of. In 1900, Lavinia Hicks is again a widow (her 4th time!), now called "Louvina Brown", and living next door to Addison and Decie. In Addison's home this time is Arminta Rains, called "mother". Interesting note: in 1900, Lavinia Kivett Craven Ward hicks brown tells the enumerator that she has "1 child, living". She never had a child, but I'm sure she considered Decie as her own. Nancy Jones
