I am hoping someone from the area of Liberty NC can help me I am looking for some information on the the Thornburg poe home in Liberty someone who can tell me when it was built and by whom .I am looking for any information on the Poe family that was in the area in the 1820's . The name was John W Poe , I believe he was captain of the district for the tax list for 1820 .any thing at all would be helpful for example other Poes that lived in the same area .someone really familiar with the history of the area John W Poe married Elizabeth Rains daughter of Anthony Rains and Nancy Grimes both from the same area .
