I was given to me by one of my aunts( Flora Carter) She was married to Elwood. She called one of Elwood's aunts and got the information from her. Columbus Edward Carter was 14 Apr.1866 in Randolph Co. He married Alice Reed on 6 Nov. 1890. He died 23 Dec 1950. Alice Reed is from the Reid line of Old Salem. Their children were Gray Edward, Samuel, John, Allen, Mary, Edith, Edna, Helen and Eldridge. If you would like their dates I will send them to you. Emsley's children I have listed as Columbus Edward, Margaret and Nettie. These are total different from the 1880 census record. What I am thinking may have happened was these 3 children are much older and had left home by the 1880 census. I have not yet added the ones from the census. I got these names from my aunt. Do you think this is possible? I am Reid Edward daughter. If you don't mind I personal question, are you LDS?
