Sandy, "The North Carolina Gazetteer" lists a bunch of Hickory Creeks, but the closest to Randolph is Hickory Creek which rises in s Guilford and flows into Deep River and Deep River pretty much goes from n end to s end of Randolph. The other two mentioned is Hickory Grove community in sw Chatham County which is east of Randolph and Hickory Mtn. located about 5 miles below Siler City in Chatham Co., NC. Hopefully this info will be helpful. I think it's a creek. I have a pension record that states John Wright lived on Hickory in Randolph Co. NC. Would appreciate any information. Trying to find just where John Wright was living in the 1780's. Thanks, Sandy Stith [email protected] ==== NCRANDOL Mailing List ==== *** Tired of this LIST? Thanks for the information. I'm going to send for deed info and maybe there will be a deed that mentions where this place is. It's probably the one you mentioned that flowed into Deep River. Again thanks, Sandy
