    3. I have not done a genealogy on the York family but I can say that there were Yorks in the Rev. War papers of our Capt. John Hinds who got land in Overton Co. and Fentress Co.Tn. where Alvin York came from.     3. There a book on Sgt Alvin York in library in Jamestown, TN. That is where he lived and is buried. You might go to USGenWeb and go to Pickett Co, TN., you might find someing there.     3. Sgt Alvin Cullum York, born 13 Dec 1887, Pall Mall, Fentress, Co, TN., died 2 Sep 1964, Pall Mall, TN., buried Wolf River Cem, Pall Mall, TN., married 7 Jun 1919, Fentress Co, TN. Gracie Loretta Williams, born 7 Feb 1900, died 27 Sep 1984, buried with husband. Parents are William York and Mary Elizabeth Brooks. Grandparents are Uriah York and Eliza Jane Livingston. Parents and Grandparents same cemetery as Sgt York. More information in " History Of Fentress County Tennessee" Volume 1, 1987, by Fentress County Historical Society. Hope this helps.
