I need help looking for any thing that will help me find the Randolph Co Poe family ? Specifically John W Poe found on th e 1815 tax list in Moffits district by 1820 named as the captain of the north east area of Randolph in 1820 named as capt of t hat district I notice just south west of Liberty is a Poe road .Can any of you give me any information about the Poe,s of Randolph Co ?It may be this became a part of Guilford .John w Poe married Elizabeth Rains in 1807 in Randolph Co .trying to connect him to a family. Hello Pat, I am interested in the family John W. Poe married into, the Rains family. I have an ancestor, Mary Frances Raines, born 1810 in Chatham Co., NC. Possibly her father was Ambrose Raines.
