James Butler, (born around 1820 in Marion Co., S.C. - died Aug. 5, 1902 in Randolph Co., N.C.), married Sarah S. Webster, (born Sept. 9, 1822 - died April 1906). Sarah S. Webster was a daughter of Edward Webster and Susan Saltenstall. Edward Webster's parents were Stephen Webster and Prudence Butler. Prudence Butler Webster was born around 1770 in Middletown, CT and died Oct. 20, 1823. I am trying to find out who Prudence Butler Webster's parents were, and I am hoping James Butler can lead me there. There is a good possibility that James and Sarah Webster Butler were cousins. Does anyone know who James Butler's parents were? How about Prudence Butler Webster's parents? Any clues will be appreciated. Thanks, Christie
