Jo I wonder what relation William Wilkerson was to your Wilkerson . My family also from same area of Randolph near the Chatham Line and William Wilkerson has on a couple of occasions shown up in records for ancestors of mine in the late 1700's I believe , he also shows up at estate sale circa 1800 for my ancestor William Poe . others in area were Rains , Moffitt, Grimes , Graves ,Bray as wel as many others all lived in area of Brush creek , If you stumble on any Poe records while researching yours I would love it if you would keep me in mind ,.Patricia Perkins
